Tephi Tea - Natural Irish Seaweed Tea from AlgAran Seaweed Products, County Donegal, Ireland
Herbal blend containing precious organic ingredients: Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm), Carragheen flakes, Dried Apple pieces, Toasted almonds, Gula merah (Coconut flower's Sugar Crystals), Dried Lemon slices, Rose petals and Cinnamon powder.

We called this Herbal blend Tephi Tea after the Queen Tephi, Goddess of Tara, who, according to Legend. introduced to Ireland the use of herbal blends (Tea) as a healing drink.

The composition of Tephi Tea is very mild and pleasant. It blends the exotic taste of Cinnamon with the Mediterranean taste of Lemon, Rose and Lemon Balm.
Carragheen seaweed releases the precious gel (Moss) and the Coconut flower's sugar crystals release the light brownish colour.

Lemon Balm is naturally calming, therefore this herbal tea is recommended for consumption before going to sleep.

Rosaria worked for many years for a Flavours Manufacturer in Italy, and knows how important is to avoid using food flavour additives. Therefore Algaran doesn't use any type of flavouring additives in any of their products.

Lemon Balm and Rose petals are often supplied when too old or when the essential oils have already been extracted. Rosaria met with some difficulty in her quest to locate a genuine producer who could provide freshly harvested and dried herbs and petals: full of their original scent and taste.

Adding a flavour to teas or food, avoids our natural sense of smell used to decide if a product is good for our body. This was in principle the purpose of smell sense in animals and humans.

A calamitous effect of the power of flavour to deceive the natural instinct of animals was shown by the spread of BSE disease (Mad Cow) in cows, caused by eating animal derivatives mixed in with their feed. Normally herbivorous animals would smell meat and wouldn't eat it. The flavours additives covered the meat smell and deceived the mammals' sense of smell.

Rosaria's experience in this field gave her the wisdom to take the decision to ban any flavour additives (even natural flavours are never totally natural) or perfumes from Algaran products.

Tephi Tea is full of original scent and taste ...

A real High Queen Drink!
